I clean a house brown upvc windows with the stick on square leads.
Custy pointed out today that on 2 panes of a downstairs bay the brown wood effect is peeling off :o
I'm wfp and cleaned this house for 2 years; custy moved out and new people have had me 3 times now.
Bit nervous about going back; i am pretty careful and not heavy handed; do take care as new style leads have a tendency to come off so i don't scrub too hard.
The bits peeling off are the bevelled bits that hold glass in; where two pieces meet at a point 45 degree angle; looks like brown wood effect, sticky stuff has come UNTUCKED.
Any one had this.
thanks lee

Hi mate, i wouldnt worry bout it. This is a common issue with the wood effect upvc the film shrinks from the sunlight. Basically they are naff, id never have wood effect upvc.

Sounds more like cheap quality windows to me.
I'd point it out to Custy and make sure you let them know that this is happening due to poor quality.
I always tell my custies about any problems I find, they usually really appreciate it.
Good luck.
