Just wondering who has a website and how they do from it? Do you pick up many jobs? Do you think they are just people that have seen the site on the van/leaflet anyway rather than ringing, or are they clicking through google etc?
Thanks

I did an internal/external clean a couple of weeks ago for £340 and a monthly external at £60
when I asked where they got my number from they said Google and they liked the site.
have picked up lots of other work through the website as well so yes defo worth having a website.

Yes definatly need one.
The majority of people these days are on-line and do shopping ect on-line.
When it comes to commercial work when the Boss of a company tells his secretary or who ever to find a window cleaner, the first place she's going to go is her computer!
You have to move with the times.
A website is a lot of hard work and loads of hours on a PC to create, optimise and maintain but I for one feel its worth it.
Mine brings in around 2-5 jobs a week, usually spread out but always takes me to area's that I hadn't canvassed so double wammy and its only been up and running for the last couple of months or so...

I think a good indication of how important it is to have an online presence is looking at Yellow Pages. My newest one came through the door the other day and it was tiny compared to the size it used to be. Everyone looks on google rather than yellow pages when they want to find something these days

This year mine has done great lots of good commercial and domestic has come through the site, would not be where I am today without it!!!!
Just been updated this week www.sajwindowcleaners.co.uk

I'll have mine online within the week hopefully. I was just seeing if people were using it as a front or actually getting something out of it. thanks for all the replies.

looks like youve rumbled us, yes my website is just a front and I really use it to wash millions of pounds of dirty money for a Columbian drugs cartel but shhhhhhhhh dont tell anyone :D

Hahaha, you know what I mean. A front so that at least if people do a search after seeing a leaflet, they see you have a presence online too. :)

Took a lot of work to set up, but it gets me a steady trickle of jobs ( 2 a week maybe).

We have had a website right from day one.
Its more of a one stop-port of call for customers, having a web presence these days is more inportant than having sign writing on your van.
I pick up a handfull of jobs & enquiries from the site a year. Its more than paid for itself. Google is so good now, you dont need yellow p or thompsons.
For example if during the summer holidays I want to bring in some more enqiries, i log into my google adwords account and put togther a targeted campain for school holiday cleans, or christmas cleans. It works well.
