are these things easy to rig up in the van?
the problem i reckon im gonna have if the temp is -2 in the day is frozen hose on the ground(i use 6mm)and less than supple hose for winding in!!
if it saves me losing a week or two of work during the winter months itll be worth it plus easier conny roof/fascia cleaning!
any videos on putting these things together?
thinking of a fogwash and getting a pumpbox and getting rid of my trolley to make room.do you have to cut a hole in the roof of ya van for the flue though?

Daz installation is easy. I still work with the doors open slightly and did all last winter. The nack is to keep the van warm over night if frost is expected. Then when you start up in the morning DO NOT let your hose touch the floor. Simply attach the pole to it and start up the heater. Give it a couple of mins an then the water will be warm. Then run your hose out and work away. Do not allow the hose to stay on the floor for to long with out running the water through it. I still found I could leave it a few mins and all was ok. Bearing in mind I also have 100metres of the hose out gives you an idea of just how good they are as well mate. Its all just a bit of common sense really. I too am only down the road from you if you ever want to meet up mate.

thanks guys.im gonna order a fogwash from peter and pumpbox from extend2wash and then one weekend when ive got all the equipment itd be great to come down to one of your houses and you can show me the ropes.they ll be a beer in it for you!!

Its a bit of a pain, but I would advise taking the heater out of the van at night as I lost one (the water freezes, expands then bursts the pipes) and this was with a heater in the van overnight.
Hopefully it wont be quite as cold as last year!

bit of advice - fit an immersion heater (takes 5 mins) and run it off a timer (you can get 3kW timers in B+Q for £4) and use it to keep the water in the tank from freezing overnight so in the morning the tank is warm. Because the water is already warm you can run the heater very low saving gas.

Ive got 2 working L5's in my shed if anyone is interested,
£50 each + p&p.
Also got a frost damaged L5, split pipe inside, at £25 + p&p, ideal for spares.

daz drop me an e-mail and ill lend you my L5 for a few weeks and see how you go with that mate, means you can have a go of hot before you shell a load of money out mate

I had l5 for around 18 month before I got a fogwash and l5 ain't in same league,fogwash runs more stable no cut off even the construction is more solid,my advise is go with the fogwash it's great as even has a winter summer switch so again can run it cheaper than l5

Agree, the L5 does feel it wouldnt stand up to much, will get the fogwash when replacing.

ive just tried to connect my l5 up in the van after its been in the garage for the summer and it wont work >:( it wont light as i remember as its lites it clicks a few times but iam not getting the clicks. changed the battteries but nothing, anybody got a idea why??

my offer is just so that he see's how much difference a hot water system makes to cleaning, i also have a fogwash as well

Does the fogwash circulate the water during the night to keep the van warm?
