Title: canvassing time for best return!?

i normally canvass between 6-7.30/8 i know some of you guys do it during the day, is there any particular time which is better?

When I canvass weekdays, I usually start around 4.30 until around 6.30.  On a Saturday I'll knock the first door around 10am and I find by midday theres less people in.

If I'm not getting anywhere I'll usually finish that road - and come back to it either when I'm more up for it, or at a different time to better suit the location.

Never done weekends, but any evening between 1700 and 1900. I don't second guess anyone, like, oh they have clean windows or dirty windows, or they look like this or that, I just knock and ask. Some will, some wont, so what? Knock the next door and find out.

I tend to find the golden hours for canvassing are weekdays from 5-till 9 pm. Sundays from 3-8 pm. (yep thats correct, sundays)

When planning your canvassing, try to do the majority of your work at the begining or end of the month. This is closer to payday, midldle month canvasing tends to be harder work in my expeireince.
