Hi,
I'm having problems with streaking when using my Unger back flip/viseversa
on pole....
Wanted to limit ladder use, but having to go up to detail :'(
Only new to shining, so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Jay

is that a gorrilla cleaning a dorma?
coool ;D
who needs a back flip when you have recruits like that!
-
sorry
no, seriously, my only limited experience tells me that it is difficult to avoid streaking with using long pole as it is difficult to keep even/ firm enouugh presure on the squeegee.
i do the best i can then wrap scrim over squeegee then rub over area i missed b4 it dries.
maybe the others know better

Thanks Ben,
Will give it a try today. Hopefully it'll work.

Very hard to avoid streaks when using extension pole, but I use a dry 8" applicator with damp Tesco microfibre cloth wrapped around it to rub streaks/edges that you miss with squeegee

;)I have found the Ettore back flip the best, its heavy enough at the top!thats where you need pressure,a new blade is Important when you use the backflip, bad blades are a nightmare with this tool, practice with this its a great tool a must in ya bucket! ;)

I sometimes use a backflip on the pole. Dog earing ( slightly bend each end of the channel with a pair of pliers) will reduce the lines you can leave behind.
Also a fixiclamp can be useful for use with your scrim

Is there much difference apart from price between unger backflip and etore backflip?

I use the backflip with a pole to do windows up to 10 ft. I havn't tried going higher. I use the applicator first wipe the blade and come down from top to bottom. The blade needs a wipe after each stroke unless you have nice wooden frames to run the edge of the blade on. The only problem I'v had is with reaching the very bottom of the top pane when the frames are deeply recessed and the windows are made up of panes one above the other. Dai
