Title: Is my pump on the way out?
Post by: Jay Cleverley on August 28, 2011, 12:41:12 am
Hey guys
I have a little GX120 with an interpump, and recently its had really low pressure on start up but has been fine after a minute or so...
Is it the pump on the way out, and am I damaging it by using it as is?

On a separate note, is there any issues with pre-spraying paving and concrete surfaces with some bleach at about 5-1 diluted for some of the really stubborn grime my machine struggles with at times?

Many thanks
Jay

maybe the pump is priming itself? don' think it's on the way out, just may take a minute for the system to fill with water to it's full capacity

What feed are you using? Direct from tap or sucking from a tank/barrel?

Returning around the head of back into the tank/barrel?

ive been told, if you connect direct to a tap, you will know straight away if your seals/pistons are done, because water will flood out of the pump when its not running.

so, if your pump is leaking when the machine is not switched on, then yes, your pump is on its way out..
