Richy just becareful when doing things like toilet rolls etc as you get place like hotels etc purchasing from you but on credit, a mate of mine does the same thing as this and has been screwed over many times by big hotels for thousands, as they change names I.e mohamed takes over from his friend ali who then sells to Pablo etc so takes a lot of court proceedings etc too get your money back.

Also Contico and Scot young research both do janitorial.

Also when they have offered you a discount, drop me an email as I used to sell nationwide. And will let you know what you can get.

Hi Rich

When we sold nationwide it was all traditional stuff, and to get it to a persons door cheaper than they could buy it locally meant you had to cut profit margins.

You did not make that much out of consumables ie squeegee rubbers ect, but if some one was starting up then it was a lot better. But today with wfp equipment at higher prices there is room for a better mark up.

Remember though if you get offered a discount from a supplier such as Unger etc, they will give you what seem like a good discount but there are ways to get better ones. Such as free delivery on all goods, as they have a minimum order value before you get free delivery. Also if I let you put a full display stand in what further discounts do I get. Always give something to get some thing in return.

Just some food for thought.

I wentto our local cleaning supplies company last week to pick up some new squeegees and was suprised to see they dont supply window cleaning equipment anymore. They had a few channels left and a few squeegee blades and about 5 buckets. No microfibres though...
Hopefully that isnt a sign that there isnt enough trade anymore to warrant stocking trade stuff!
Good luck with it Richey - Hope it works out for you.

Contact FESI JAY at Disposables UK - he sells Ettorre stuff, and they manufacture toilet rolls etc, they were based in Huddersfield

Get yourself an e coommerce site - make sure it is better laid out than any one elses, no point being second best.
I can give you a good contact for an e commerce site - e-mail me if you want to know more.
