hi all
well iam not a happy bunny. >:(
finally took the plunge and picked up a airflex turbo from fleabay. tested it dry on pick up all lights came on and vacs and pumps made the right noises (just for a second).
decided to test on my little girls room got set up, presprayed and agitated. 25 feet of hoses upto room. fired her up vacs bellowed, pump raged. pressed the trigger and nothing, zilch, nada.
whats wrong guys. pump is on, checked the collars on the bayonets where all correct. tried turning the pressure up and down. tried running it on a little bit of hose.
then gave up. got the old alltech out did a lovely job!
any ideas. please dont say new pump :'(
cheers

Did you prime the pump ?
-
Have you used it on a very short solution hose.ie a small hose to prime the pump
-
You have to prime the pump first with a separate piece of priming hose - only takes 20 seconds.
-
hi
yes thats what i meant by trying it on a little bit of hose, iam used to pressure washers which all need priming.

give matt a call at cleansmart, he's very helpful.

I'd give Matt a call he's very helpful especially about his 'baby' and won't want a bad one out there.

Check the filter on the inlet pipe in the clean water tank. Give it a clean and then prime the pump using a short piece of priming hose. Make sure the filter is submerged under water.

I got my Airflex Turbo off ebay and Mat was very helpful especially considering that i had not got it direct from him he carried the warranty over and modified it for me all without charge so your first port of call should be Mat at Cleansmart, its a great machine i have had it for a year now and love it, you always have top prime the pump prior to switching it on, when i got mine i got it set up and used it before i left with it.

Also check the inside of the machine. Might be a kink in a hose coming from the pumphead. Close the body of the machine slowly and look for any kinks in the hoses.
When priming the pump there might be an air lock in the system. Point your priming hose directly into the vacum hole and turn the vacs on. This will force the air lock out.
Hardly the fault of the machine if you cant use it! ;D joking mate.

Put an open male qc on the end of the solution hose and run the pump. If water comes out then take the jets out of the wand and clean the screen filters.

wonder if that's why it was sold ...............if so, you've won a coconut!
-
hi
iam saying kinked to simplify, it had signs of being crushed with pliers or pipe grips. i suspect last person thought it was blocked because they didnt prime it then butchered it trying to sort it out.
have squashed it back into shaoe foe now will look to replace it don the line.
p.s. anyone selling a magma. (steve wish i had bought yours now)
cheers for help everyone.

Ahhhh the good ole kinked outlet hose :)
Yeah its very stressful and annoying when things go wrong with machinary that belongs to you and your business relays on. Buts its rewarding when doing your own problem solving and repairs. << and cheaper! :)
