Driving to work this morning we saw two guys putting up a sign (I think) on a shopfront. This shop has a sort of extended ground floor so that there is a small pitched roof, over which these people were working. This roof presumably meant that the ladder would have been at an awkward angle (too shallow) so they had a ladder IN THE GUTTER and another ladder positioned so that he could climb on to it! This may well have been an iron gutter but still!!! My mate and I could not quite believe what we were seeing. The carnage that could be caused by the guttering giving way can only be imagined (pedestrians, parked and moving cars, the guys themselves). Puts using a ladder for window cleaning in to perspective...

this saturday just gone, i watched a guy do a house on the road behind me, i could see him from my daughters window
i rushed to get my digi camera, but by the time i had got it, he was down
stood on the VERY TOP RUNG of the ladder, 1 foot on the ladder the other to the left, whist he leaned to the right
it was scarey even watching him
