I'm looking for a wheelie cleaning trailer to tow on my van have you seen any?
-
On a similar subject.....................
We just can not find a wheelie bin cleaning company in our area. It would be a gold mine here (Oswestry/Wrexham).
It wouldn't really compliment what I do so it's not going to be me who sets it up.
Anyone operating one close by?

Our new trailer is £8000
SF2005
We can fit our equipment into Renault traffic, Vauxhall vivaro, Nissan primastar
Ford transit. £6000
Pick up based vehicles have a number of issues i.e. how do you clean the inside of the lid without geting waste material and waste water on the road which can get
you at £20,000 fine.
Environmental agency guidelines state that you need to contain your water within the vehicle and that the vehicle can recycle the water throughout the day.
Check out our web site.

Where do you get rid of the waste water? just a thought that got me thinking?

Hi
You need a waste carriers licence to carry waste water which you get from local environment agency.
You need a consent to discharge which you get from your local water authority.
The consent will be for a foul sewer of your choice. The easiest method is to get a consent to discharge through a rodding point into the foul sewer where your toilet empties into. You should be able to find a rodding point in your drive or in your garden or in the street outside your house or some where around your industrial premises.

Thanks George, sounds like a lot of messing? do you make much money at it? I think I have read some charge as little as £2.50 per bin?
Kind regards Phil
-
Hi Phil
The consent often is not charged for, the waste carriers licence costs around £80 for three years (it varies across the uk). It takes around 15 to 20 mins a day to clean our vans after a days work so no big deal.
One man One van can easily clean 100 bins per day average price across the uk is around £3 per clean thats £78000
From that you can expect £38000 a year pre tax profit.
And thats just domestic once you get into commercial its another ball game.

I know what u mean about cleaning the lid, stand back and hope no one gets covered. i just saw site and thought i would mention it.
Im currently charging £2 a bin (too cheap i know) and i can clean approx 20-25 an hour on my own without any hassle.
Whats the deal with domestic then?
i once done a chip shops bin that seem to take forever to clean and once i had it nice and clean they told me they would get in contact when they wanted them cleaning again. lt took me so long to clean that i was scared right off to do it again and i wouldnt do domestic let alone commercial bins as a one off clean.
How much do u charge for a commercial bin? i charged about £8 i think

Hi semy
I agree 20 to 25 an hour no problem but folks tend to forget about travel time cleaning van cashing up etc so like to give relastic numbers.
We have rounds one man one van 140 per day and two men one van 200 per day.
Commercial 1100 ltr anything from £12:50 to £40 dependant on food non food frequency etc.
We have days where one man one van will do 75 commercial bins
Our new commercial van runs at 200Bar 20ltr min and 90 Deg C
Now that will move chip shop batter no problem.
