Just out of curiosity, out of citra boost users - who uses it with prespray, who uses it with rinse, and who uses it with both?
-
if minger then use it with prespray, wouldn't dream of using it with rinse, normally use it as a spotter during agitation stage.
-
Prespray only but not always and some times as a spotter I know I really need to go on some type of course and stop experimenting at home ;)
-
It is a brilliant spotter, either neat or diluted.

i shoot from the hip cos thats my style ;D
oh and shaken not stirred. ;D
-
So if you use it as a spotter, what dilution rate are you using? Or I suppose the stronger it is the more effective it can be?
-
heres how i do it ash.
prespray with PB (hot) then with envirodri agitating in one hand and some neat citra boost in its sprayer in the other hand, i agitate til i get a spot that don't move, give it a squirt with CB and agitate again, usually does the trick. then acidic rinse. job done.
-
I'll give that method a go I think. Which hand do I hold my cigarette in? :P
-
i have a ciggie holder custom built on my enviro dri. even has an ash catcher, no pun intended.
always thinking. ;D

using it neat is an expensive way to go through it. would it not be effective to dilute it like 50/50?
what do people think of solu-boost?
-
yes it is just as effective at 50/50 or even less TBH, i normally use it neat to start and then top up halfway down the tub.
-
I mix 500ml in a 2 litre sprayer and fill with water so 1 - 4 and it works a treat.

Your getting mixed up somewhere along the chemistry tree. Solu boost is an oxidising agent (sodium percarbonate) prochems equivalent is oxibrite and not Citra boost, this is a very expensive degreaser. It is very good and smells nice, but using it neat or even at 50/50 is like burning money ;D
10mls mixed with every ltr of Power burst works well on grease based stains. But, their are much, much cheaper and just as good degreasers out there, and as long as you use plenty of de-foamer it will save you alot of money in the long run.

what alt degreaser would you recommend?
