Title: Online Payments
Post by: C-Thru. on August 22, 2011, 10:55:45 am
Hi Guys
I know this has been covered before but I want to set up 'on-line' payments for my clients.
Which way do you use and which way do you think is best?
BACs payments, giving punters my bank details, or PayPal? but costs money? Add to final cost to punter to cover this?
Add payments option to my website?
Standing orders???

Any & all advise as always greatly appriciated.
Cheers Guys
Goochie.

PS now going to try and look up older posts also.

I don't do it via my web site. I put all the details on the ticket which I post.

Is it a good idea to give as any ways as possible for the customer to pay

We provide our bank details, and have paypal on our website too

I give the customer my details.  I get them to put <door number> or <first 4 letters of house name> plus <postcode> asthe reference.  It doesn't stop the odd one from putting "windows" or something equally meaningless to me but if they have an unusual surname it's easy to figure out.

A lot of my custies pay online now but I'm finding I'm still having to chase up a few of them for payment.I know it can be easy to forget but it's pretty bloody annoying.Especially when they say they'll pay immediately and you're still waiting a week later. Not in a position yet to start dropping slow payers so have to bite the bullet and send text reminders.

I looked at 'paymywindowcleaner.com' seems a little excessive at around £120 per year for the privilege.
I know people will say that its cheaper than collecting, but I haven't collected for years, good idea but expensive, In my opinion.
I think BACs is the way to go.... so far from previous comments anyway.
