Title: Technical Help Required
Post by: Eddie_Rhone on August 19, 2011, 08:48:16 pm
I was looking at the new 6.6 vacs that are appearing in new portables and noticed that Lamb Ametek do a slightly smaller version that draws 6.1 amps on their performance schedule if you had 2 of these in a portable with a pumptec pump drawing 0.7 amps would that work on one cord. I am not very technical so there may be a very obvious reson why this would not work but just curious as the smaller vac produces about 90% of the vac of its big brother which could give hose lengths of over 100 feet on one electrical cord.

All thoughts welcome.

Regards

I'm not too technically minded but don't motors have 2 measurements, a large start up  and then it settles down lower. so they might be Ok once running but blow the fuse on start up.

I had a Cheyenne with 2 vacs & a pump which ran off one power cord but the pumps was only 100psi
