Title: Strange
Post by: Lee GLS on August 16, 2011, 03:54:42 pm
I replaced my resin 5 weeks ago, 11L vessel tds in is 10 make roughly 1500L a week, so the new resin has purified 6500L of water and the tds has Rosen to 2 already!!!

Is tulsion resin, I thought is was better than that, the purolite that was in the vessel before lasted much longer

@ p1w1 it goes in to an ro first, and goes into the resin at 10ppm, so it should come out at 000 for alot longer than 5weeks.

@gb. The vessel is 10 months old. Why did the old resin stuck in the filter bits cause you problems?

my theory was that the trapped beads wernt allowing the fresh resin to do its job, to get through?!? worth a look at mate all the same.

my system works the same lee ro to tank. tank through di to hose and reel!

Hi Lee

Doug Atkinson from Daqua gave us some insight on the difference between some resins (the thread was what the difference was between MB115 and MB108.) Although MB115 works best for most of us it could be that your water composition is slightlt different and MB108 would work better.

Actually I have no understanding of this - double Dutch to me, but the discussion was on Matt's forum in March 2011.

i used mb115 and thought it didnt last long at all, tds went to 001 alot quicker than my previous resin ( d0nt know name of 1st resin i used it was bought when i first switched to wfp.)
