Title: Getting Customers
Post by: MJHolmes on August 15, 2011, 03:04:53 pm
Hi All,

Just stopped by to find out what you think about aother window cleaners, Cleaning on the road you clean. This is a sore subject for some and would like to know your views. As some feel that they own everyone on that street, even tho some dont even want them.

Thankyou.

Patches are a thing of the past and the customer will decide who they use

If someone was going to approach you and say something how would you handle it.

I normally stop for a chat and have a laugh about the general public. Never had a problem yet. Although one does blank me.

I speak to everyone. I find other windys just want to chat. I even started chatting to a guy in the street I work on doing a customer I dumped and two more that dumped me for him.... but we just chatted about his and my wfp system etc.

When you buy a round all you do is buy the good will of that round. Customers are free to pick who they want.
Windys that act in an abusive way are just scared of the new talent lol
 ;D

I always talk to other wcs. Met BFG, though he stopped to talk to me, but also several other local wcs. We are pretty isolated and just like this forum, it's nice to discuss things. I have never yet had a bad experience. All nice guys who are busy enough without worrying about a novice picking up their scraps.

Surely its ok for two or more window cleaners to clean in the same street.
Theres enough work for everyone isnt there??????
As long as the window cleaners dont take each other customers whats the prob???

Been widow cleaning for 20 years, only in my 3rd month working for myself.Seems every week i bump in to a new windy, only had 1 blank me so far.Probably his customers iv been picking up.Im £2 per house more expensive than a lot of the guess he dont like the fact he needs to up his game or loose more of his customers.Never feel awkward working in same street as another windy.
