i no some poeple use this in the pure water but
would gg4 affect the resin if i put in my holding tank before it goes through my resin?
-
as you are using "soft water" shouldnt people be using gg3 ?? ?? ??
-
mines hard!!
water that is!!
-
but if its gone through a RO or DI, then it will be soft
-
ok didn't think about that,
so from the ro i would need gg3 but would this affect the di resin ?

I wouldn't chance putting GG3/4 through my resin but .....
I know I've brought this up before, but today I re-tried a previous experiment and once again added a small drop of GG4 to my trolley as I knew I would be able to view these windows from the insides after the clean. Some of my old darlings who insist that I come in for a home made cake (made especially for my visit) and a chat and a cuppa. The results are definitely improved. (I can take my time at the moment as it's not my full time job - I just love window cleaning!!! - my full time job stinks!)
I know it sounds contradictory after we make all that effort to get the water to 0 TDS and then I add something - but I closely examined the dried windows from the insides and they were absolutely spotless - right up into the top corners. The water had sheeted well and run off the windows quickly.
There was something different about the way the windows scrubbed too - difficult to put into words but it was definitely there - the water seemed wetter!!. The frames cleaned better too.
Ok - so I've had a whiskey (Grouse - what else) or two this evening but this isn't the drink spouting off. Give it a try yourselves and report on YOUR findings.
I am talking about a very small amount of GG4 - just one average size drop in a 50 litre full trolley. I reckon it's something to do with breaking the surface tension down and allowing the water to spread and flow better.
Maybe I should be using GG3 as the water has been processed but I've only got GG4 and what the hell it seems to work :)

so just 1 drop per 50 L's
i will give it a go, i have to do a few around my house, and they will gve me feedback and not bin me ;)

You will have to suck it and see but don't be tempted to put too much in as that will probably give the oposite result to what you are trying to achieve.
I just pour an average size ' drop' from the lid of my GG4 container into my trolley BEFORE I fill it, to ensure good mixing. I really ought to use a proper measure so that I can monitor it properly.
Other guys seem to get similar results by washing their brushes in a mix of pure water and GG3/4 between cleans. I just feel that my method is more consistant.
Don't use it in a large qty of your pure water stock in case it doesn't work for you. I'd hate to be responsible for ruining someones entire stock. :(
Let us know how you get on. In particular, watch the way the water behaves as you are scrubbing.

i use 25 L barrels, so will have a go with 1 or 2 of them, see if i can see any difference
if i remmber correctly, jeff B was on about adding a little to water, but i never heard what happened
