Just wondered how you guys and girls get rid of your waste resin?
-
In a carrier bag then out with the rubbish
-
I re-seal the bag and sell it on ebay.
-
So its your fault my tds is so high!!
Thought a fiver for 25ltr was too good to be true!!
-
Carrier bag and in the bin like Richard.
-
I spread it on the garden the plants love it!!
-
Use it to fill up the brown sugar pot in the kitchen
-
if anyone is running a quality system for their company then they must be able to show how they dispose of the resin. if they can't then it can be deemed as a non compliance and could fail certain part sof an audit.
waste control is covered under the environmental section in most quality manuals.

As it should be. I suppose if we went to the letter of the law, we ought to be able to show what we do with all the packaging for poles, glues, membranes, not to mention old chemical containers (including fairy liquid bottles) etc. but I would bet that very few can do this. Part of the problem is that sole traders will normally work from home so things tend to go in the household waste or recycle bins. I try to be as eco-friendly as is reasonably possible. Any bubble wrap from a delivery is given to my friend who sells stuff on ebay. Recyclable materials get recycled. Using household bins is not being bad to the environment anyway. It just means that you don't get ripped off for ridiculous disposal charges for very little material. So long as it's not toxic, it's no more harmful via the household route than by the industrial route. After all, many people have domestic water filtering systems in their homes.

Because we're always thinking of the environment we never change our resin ;D
-
Dump it in the bin, don't even bother about the carrier bag
-
I compact it into small solid lumps and sell it at college gates for teenagers to smoke.
