Title: How To Clean this Stonework, Pic Attached.
Post by: C-Thru. on August 14, 2011, 01:14:21 am
Hi Guys
Whilst out canvassing today I came upon a potential custy who asked me if I knew how to clean this stonework on his house, I said I have no idea short of sand blasting but did tell him I'd ask you guys if anyone has any idea's?

As you can see from the Picture its only decorative stone, we think its some sort of 'sandstone' and has become black with dirt running down brickwork on the gable ends. I'm not sure if its only surface dirt or become en grained into the stone.

Anybody ever cleaned this sort of thing if so how?
All idea's and experience welcome
Many thanks again guys
Goochie

I seem to remember of others dealing with this using bleach and a wire brush

Fairy & green pad..  ;D

I guess the best way would either be dry ice or soda blasting..
