Bear in mind that many of the normal vehicle insurance policies have breakdown cover built in so you might be double covering it anyway at extra expense.
-
the free breakdown is usually the basic one, i want the peace of mind of getting me home.

Do it though www.quicdo.co.uk. They have a cashback offer (AA) of ...
£50 for Policies of £100+
£19 for Policies up to £75.99
£42 for Policies between £76 and £99.99
http://www.quidco.com/aa-uk-breakdown/
Green Flag cashback...
£5 for a Rescue policy
£15 for a Rescue Plus policy
£20 for a Recovery policy
£30 for a Euro Plus policy
£30 for a Recovery Plus policy
Couldn't be bothered to figure RAC out.Make sure you use the link from quidco to the merchant or you won't get your cash back.

There are a lot of exclusions now. Most commercial vehicles won't be covered on personal plans. The reason I know this is because with a taxi you have to go onto a their fleet plan but its cheaper.with the RAC. So don't automatically assume you are out of luck.

I take your point. It would be a bit of hassle but I have a few people who would collect me from wherever the vehicle was towed to. Not ideal I know but it would do at a push.

The RAC have a commercial side as well as domestic, they did not charge any extra for the 2 vans and the 2 cars as a family membership.
