Hey guys... With getting the two reels out many times a day the protectakote wore away and slowly rotted about 2 square feet of the flooring.
So I ordered some 2mm aluminium chequer plate so now I can slam the reels down without the worry of any damage and wearing away.
What do you think? All in it cost £1.00 for the mdf to replace the rotted wood, £36.00 for the aluminium !.2m x 750mm and screws plus sealant.
look the business me thinks!!

I thought protektacote was supposed to go on metal, not wood.

Put it on your windscreen as long as you key the glass first!

Get on! looks good

When I had the van kitted out, they insisted I had the panels lined with protectokote first ... don't really see any point in putting it on metal? Are vans lined with metal? If they are, best material would be aluminium which doesn't need protecting cos it won't rust.
