Fresh Guard from Solution and the other stuff from the tap. I am assuming you're referring to flushing the waste hoses/waste tank, and not the pump...

If you're flushing the pump, then water (dihydrogen monoxide) and Calgon will help prevent lime-scale build up....

Yes I know they are both acids but unless you are using high alkaline cleaners through the pump then why push 'high' acids' through afterwards. All your trying to do is cancel out alkaline with acid.

Perhaps he uses his machine to spray his pre spray (Not advisable, obviously) I can't see why you would want to rinse your pump with anything other than fresh water, or as you said Calgon for area's with crap water.... ;D

For christ's sake PAZ turn your capslock OFF!!  Nobody likes a shouter ;)

I think we're all getting mixed up with 2 things here:

1: flushing chemical out of the pump & plumbing of the machine, and

2) de-scaling

In a portable, you shouldn't really have a need to de-scale... the majority of the internals are not metal surfaces that collect scale.  However once in a blue moon it might do a little bit of good, but not that you'd notice.  The only thing you need to de-scale normally is an in-tank heater element.

Phos made by Clover Products is a fantastic de-scaler, and very economical.  Basically anything containing phosphoric acid will do the trick, DO NOT use hydrochloric as it will properly screw things up.

To flush out chemical after cleaning, leave the hoses and wand attached, just suck out all the remaining solution in the tank, add some cold fresh water and jet it through.  Sorry, I meant dihydrogen monoxide, let's keep it simple! ;)

If you can wait a day or two on Ebay

Or Cleansmart appears to have genuine motors at a reasonable price.

Also see what restomate can do

There was a company who abused the Forum so I wont reccomend them

I've been  using portable for 7 years and never flushed it and it is fine. As mentioned before they dont need flushing coz no metal is used, mostly rubberish pipes.
Im using Karcher puzzi 200.
