Sometimes you go out and get new customers easy and other times its rubbish, like yesterday - did 3 hours just to get one customer can't complain it was a 23 quid job, has anyone ever gone out and got no new customers? Then other times you go out and get 5?

I did 8 hours last week and got nothing.
However the week previously, i went for an hour and picked up 6 custy's from the same street.
Just keep plugging away.

You never know what your going to get when you go out canvassing.

I have just relocated to Ireland from sunny Kent, and am starting up from scratch here.
I began canvassing on Monday afternoon, and got 2 customers, which were done there and then, and both paid on the spot. One even gave me a box of expensive chocs!
Since then, I have picked up 5 more which have also been done, plus I have 2 possibles for next time, and another 2 have said they would spread the word.
To put things into perspective, I have knocked around 160 doors, and of these, about 75% were not in, so I currently have a pick up rate of around 1 in 6 for those whom I have met.
I have never used leaflets, but may well do so now due to the number of 'not homes'.
I am out again tomorrow, and cannot wait to get out there!
Best wishes to you all.
John.
