Yes it does haven't had problems with it yet but I only stick to domestics with it. The reason I went for that one was because I could use the genny with it and able to lift it out the van by myself without problem. I've also used the polar vac and that was plenty powerful as well

I've got the karcher 27 kit from gutter cleaning systems, used it last week with 3 sections and the curved end  which give me a reach of around 20-25 feet - no problems at all, lifted out some huge rootballs too.

hi mate

my concern was the power when i bought one - i got a karcher pro with 3 motors and i can honestly say that 99% of the time a single motor around 1300 watt would satisfy most gutter jobs.

which means you can get one for between 200-300 more if your using a generator with it.

the advantage of the maler ones is that they will fit in your van more easily and be easier to move around etc, since your likely to emptying from every job theres not real need to have a huge capacity either. i got a good deal on mine and hope to do commercial with it but if id planned only domestic id stick with a little 1300watt jobby and bang out a few cleans out and you got your payback real quick.

I'm getting the Clarke system this month.

Out of interest, are you lads getting gutter clean customers apart from your window cleaning customers? How you getting them?

I mentioned it to a few of my customers, in passing, who had problem gutters - most of them went for it, then they talk to their friends and more work comes in, then you clean their friends windows.......... and so on

Same for fascia, soffit and gutter cleans ;)

Need to get some decent photos of gutter vac in progress then I'll add a page on the website

I'm toying with the idea of going the vac route, been watching these posts with interest.
Quite a few guys seem to be using the Clarke 30 system, so after some research and shopping around, I see the same (well I think its the same) vac is available on Fleabay for around £80-90. Just without the pole and gutter attachments?
So a couple of questions;
1; anybody who has a clarke 30 please check out this link, is it the same Vac (main unit I mean)?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-CLARKE-PRO-VAC-KING-WET-DRY-VACUUM-CLEANER-CVAC20SS-/230569912273?pt=UK_Vacuum_Cleaners&hash=item35af09a7d1 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-CLARKE-PRO-VAC-KING-WET-DRY-VACUUM-CLEANER-CVAC20SS-/230569912273?pt=UK_Vacuum_Cleaners&hash=item35af09a7d1)

if it is same unit on to question 2
2; surely buy one from Fleabay and make attachments from UPVC pipe and bits from B&Q like others have done on this forum (see older posts on DIY  Gutter Vacs), there fore saving in the region of £150.

Please let me know what ya think.

That's the 20Lt one I think, imo why waste time sourcing all the bits and using inferior equipment by that I mean plastic downpipe instead of the metal poles and attachments. I personal wouldn't want to try and clean guttering over a conservatory with plastic down pipe and all to save a couple £100 tops if it was 5-6 hundred saving then maybe I would give it a little thought but def not for £150
Just my humble thoughts tho  :)

i have used plastic down pipe and its not that good the best thing about gutter cleaning systems is the pipe is alloy plus you get a different end attachments to tackle everything better off with pre-built svaes messing about mate

we are using the clarke 20L and it works very well on houses.

for £260 odd its def worh a punt and within 3 or 4 houses it pays for itself.

After using my new gutter cleaning kit a couple of times now, I got the lidl vac and then bought a set of poles from gutter cleaning systems Im now convinced that gutter cleaning could turn out to be more lucrative than wfp window cleaning .The vac worked incredibly well, making a job that i normally dread hanging off a high ladder scooping out muck into a bucket, into an easy job in about a third of the time. Im definately going to push this side of my business now

£190 delivered with 4 heads and weed hook diffrent size heads to cope with the varying gaps that you get with gutters some are very tight, for bungalows just work off a step ladder very easy money
