Let me get this right, you buy it for £19,800 but dont get to do the work as it has to be rented out to the lad who is currently doing it so you get £350 a month from him, so its going to take you nearly 5 years to get your money back, or am I reading it wrong ???
-
Look at it another way (this assumes all the figures are accurate and that the guy renting it is genuine and will carry on, etc)
He's asking for £19,800.
The guy pays £350 rental every four weeks, so £4,550 per annum.
So you're laughing at the idea of getting 23% return on your money for sitting on your backside? Where else can you get a return like that?
Doesn't sound that daft to me but I may be simple.

yeah ok i'll give you £19,800 then 4 months later after you have given me £1400 you and your mate can do a runner with my money ;D ;D ;D ;D
Doesn't sound right to me bit doddgy ;D ;D ;D

There is no way in a million years id bye a business that will take me 5 years to even get my money back, what are the chances that all them custys will still be around then as im sure any work the lad picks up while doing the work will be his so I recon it would take more like 7 years to get my money back,
Perfect Windows id rather pay £19,000 to my canvasser to get me £15,800 of work
-
Perhaps he should go to the bank and ask for a loan of £19,800, interest free, over five years. Yeah right.
Even if the guys are on the level, who would take the chance?
Too risky.
He might have given himself more credibility with decent spelling and grammar. Not saying that this makes him dishonest but if you're wanting someone to take a punt on it, at least make it look credible.

You;re right about the figures, but the risk is very high. and it wouldnt be too hard to build that up yourself with the 20 k you'd risk on it
-
If I had 20k to spend, I'd buy a round for myself and employ someone to do it for a far greater return.
-
Hopefully this deal goes totally tits up and everybody concerned falls out, the renter does a runner and so on... Than I can pick up all the work on my next leafletting round ;D
I have about 3k in Timperley already.
-
I love the way he wants you to pay him almost 20k to keep his mate in a job

You are confusing things.....
It's not "23% return your money" which would be brilliant, as once you've paid him the £19,800, it's not your money any more
-
should of gone on dragon's den ;)
-
Hell of a risk. What happens if the renter just takes the round over and says tough. The customers know him, who are they going to side with? Unless you are one of the baseball bat weilding fraternity and can keep it by fear.
-
Let's get this straight the guy wants you to part with 20k then tell you how he wants the work done and how much you have to get ??
-
sounds like a scam, come next month the renter turns around and say i dont rent the round of any one
didnt some one buy a rounds on here in manchester then the bloke was phoning him up telling him how he ripped him off and that there was no round
