Hi Guys,
I'm just in the process of renewal of my PLI and the one thing I've just noticed is that one part I am Not insured for on this policy is; 'Damage to property being worked on' ???
I was just wondering is this normal? are all PLI policies the same? Are you covered for damage to property you are working on?
God forgive should we cause any damage to a property how are we covered? Do we need an extra insurance?.
Any thoughts and advice is more than welcome as ever guys.
One last thing how much and which policy do you have and pay for it?
Mine currently is a 'Master Tradesman' policy and cover for 1 Million (minimum I know, but it does for me) and costs £80 per year.
What is yours and how much do you pay?
Goochie.

some do have property worked on and some dont, always best to ask when getting quote, as for price ours was nearly 2.5k but now weve gone to steve (details below) its around 1k, but thats for cherry pickers, subbies etc, for general window cleaning i think it starts at about £60.00
stephen eyre at G.T.Insurance, he is very helpful, his number is 0115 9394747, we have started going to him now as helpful and competetive,
hope that helps

Yes it is normal standard cover IF you don't ask for treatment risk/property being worked on. Many insurers do not supply this sort of cover, so always ask whoever you get your insurance from to put it in writing on the policy documents you will receive. When you get them check them for it, otherwise you may stil not have the cover you want :)

Its a standard exclusion under 95% of policies. I'm not even sure the much publicised Stephen at GT Insurance will be any help this time George P. I think thats at least 200 plugs youve given him now.
We can do that cover for you Goochie but its more than £80.00
