In a van i have a t piece splitter coming out of the tank one end going to a pump and the other going nowhere. I have been having issues with pressure with air getting in the vacant end so i need to blank the hose off in an air tight fashion (and simple)- an end stop doesnt work cos of air still getting in - i need to clamp the hose in some way, anyone got any ideas?

If it's just hose pipe- fill it with silicone then bend it over on itself, put a tie-wrap round it & pull it tight. ;)

Why dont you replace the splitter with an elbow, or is there a reason for having a splitter

i thought there would be an easier way than replacing the splitter..... ill try to fill with glue and put a cable tie on it.

Get a hose tail push it in the hose secure it with a jubilee clip. Then on the threaded end of the hose tail screw on a blank end using ptfe tape. This way you can still use it if need be.

Just attach some pipe and put an on/off valve onto the end. Then turn it off.

That's a better idea. ;)

Stick a bolt in the hose and put a jubilee clip round it. Sorted!
