I find that people who use Yell to find a wc etc will phone lots untill they find someone at home. Ive just experienced this. Got a missed call on my house phone timed at 1042am I was out at time but managed to call them back at 1056am by which time they had phoned someone else and given them the job. However if they had called my mobile I would have got in first. Hard life in it!!!!!!!!

Transfer the landline to your mobile before you go out!
Mind you these sort of people are looking for a "quick fix" clean usually and not much likelihood of being a regular custie.
