With 8mm microbore hose, what tap do you use?  I need a replacement as this one had cracked.

I use these taps, on the bottom of the pole hose

Hmm, that's an inline tap isn't it?  I was thinking a tap as a connector from the hose reel to the pole hose.

i bought one of those and water leaked from the hose joints i think its was because the gardiners pole hose is 7.9mm and the tap hole is 8mm but to cure the problem you could get two John Guest 8mm stem to 6mm Barbs.

i didn't try it my self so i might be wrong

I put the hose strenghteners from aqua-dapter in each side.
Now the never leak, even with hot, and never pull out,
I used to use the hose reel taps, for about 3 yrs, these are better imo.
