Don't get the aqua adaptor. Get a trigger. What's the point in spending money for lightness an then sticking a aqua adaptor on the end. I use triggers on all my poles and they are superb

I use a slx 30 all day everyday, but with no aqua dapter.

Its ok for weight for me-also works the old shoulder muscles n abs imo.

Cracking pole with the gooseneck and extreme brush. Only slight bug is the john guest fitting keeps coming undone if the hose snags-but that's my little grumble done.

I use a trigger all the time ,cant see the piont of adding weight to the end of your pole when you spend all that money for lightness !!! ::)

What you will need is a John Guest to 6mm Barb adapter - the hose must be slightly too soft to grip the fitting properly.

Give the Office a ring in the morning and they can pop one in the post for you FOC.

I would take up that offer!  Another alternative is to put a tube strengthening insert into the end of the hose, this stops the hose collapsing inside the push-fit connector.

are these supposed to come as standard with the quick release plastic neck as i have the same problem there fitted on the tubing that comes with the QR  adapter but it doesnt come with one for the other end and this new tubing with the slx's just doesnt stay in properly ive tried it on the 2 i brought.

A tougher hose will also help, our is PU and tough enough to stay in with hot and cold water, but an insert in the end of the hose as well is a "belt and braces" approach!

Simon from Sherwood Cleaning mentions this in his 10 minute SL-X Xtreme review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uB39sYzR8Xk

The bit about the hose is here:

You know what I'm going to say  :) - drop me an email on alex@agardiner.co.uk and I can sort this for you.

There should be one of the above fittings on the end of the yellow pole hose on either side of the John Guest fitting that comes with the QR goosenecks - I'll be speaking to the Workshop tomorrow to check this is being done as standard.

Hi GB,

You'll guess what I think ;)  However, I'll just remind you that we have a 1 month money back guarantee, so you can try the Aqua-dapter and if you don't like it you can return it for a full refund.

That's what Dave@S2none did a few months back, then he came back and bought another Aqua-dapter a week or 2 ago :)

It's a question of convenience, no loop of hose etc.  Lightness is of course very important, but it's a very small increase in weight, after which most customers say they can work faster and more conveniently with an Aqua-dapter.

give it a chance GB.WHEN YOU GET YOUR AQUA-DAPTOR USE IT FOR 2 WEEKS THEN MAKE YOUR MIND UP!!

its defo less hassle than having a loop of hose.you get used to the extra weight which is miniscule really.the pole hose is really good as well.

i wouldnt want to be without one now.as your using an slx with extreme brush your pole will be very light anyway.

Ive been using my new slx30 this week, and tbh,  im a little disapointed.
I know its the lightest most rigid pole on the market,
But i did expect it to feel a little lighter and a little more rigid.
Perhaps My expectations are too high  ::)

You could try one of these Steve.

It's a quick release insert which clamps (not glues) into the No-2 section of you slx. Basically you remove the thinnest section & use the pole as a 25ft pole & it's now lighter & more rigid. You can then just unclamp & remove this to add your original No-1 section to achieve 30ft when required.

Hope that may be of help.

IMO the 25ft slx is a true all day pole, the 30ft might just be tipping the balance in this regard.

Also, could Alex G confirm the fit?

I only use the slx30 for the higher stuff,
I use the slx18 for my everyday pole.
