Yes thankyou.
Can't say I noticed more than a two minute shower though, and I was already started on a house anyway.
Your customer must've turned you away, 'cos 'all your customers don't like it in the rain'.
My customers are lucky. They're pleased to see me in the rain; even if some of them do mention 'it's raining'; as if I wouldn't know!
They still cough up the cash.
To David;
Stop flirting!

Andrew,
Just a tip on this thread.

Help again.
Is it just me that can't work out what everyone's going on about.
I like the nice simple things in life.
Like a cuppa to wake up with and refills for the following 3 hours.
A few jars of cider every so often and how do I know when I'm drunk? When I can't lie on the floor without holding on.
Bread that doesn't burn under the toaster.
Supermarkets that only stock what I want to buy and nothing else. i.e. beans. bread. milk. tea bags and cocoa pops.
And so on..
-

Graham always told me Morrisons was a fine establishment.
-
er....
Once again.
I don't get it.
Who are Morrisons and what has what poor now long gone quirky Graham got to do with it.
I'm useless at this. :-[

What dont you get? ;) ;D :o
Morrisons is a supermarket!!! If you dont know morrisons, your a sainsburys shopper. Myself, I go where theres the least people & cars in the car park! I'm not proud.......I'll go to Lidl ;D
Whos Graham?
Assume most of you are working today? he he he Done my stint for the day.
-
Hi Ross,
Morrisons is a supermarket chain, started up nort and slowly arriving in the south west. Same lines as Kwik Save and Somerfield.
Assume morrisons have not made it to Brighton as there type of shoppers probably dont live there.
Asda girl myself,

Hiya Lizzy
Not working either today ?
My day off from Sales so doing some admin at home before I go spending ;D
Sarah
-
Did the early shift today.
Had a weird night actually. I set the alarm for 6am and it went off, so I turned it off, got up, washed, dressed, etc. opened curtains and noticed clock.....it was only 3.30am. So got undressed and re-set alarm clock. Woke at 7.30am!! Late to work, customers giving me grief, was VERY busy, bordering on manic & I've cut my thumb, got a blister on a finger, my combi boiler is leaking and I've not had feedback from house viewing, so having a terrific day! Still, being positive...i am off later to buy a router & wireless card today so I can watch TV AND be online together.
from the happy lass
Lizzy
-
Did the early shift in bed today.
I set the alarm for 8.15 (I don't do that 'early stuff'), looked out the window at the trees bending 45 degrees sideways due to the wind and went back to doing what I do really well - sleep. ;D
At 8.45 one of the other two I work with knocked on my door. His pregnant girlfriend was moaning at him so he'd decided to come to work. :-[
I then phoned up the third one of us and got him up also on the basis that if 2 of us are up and not working, then he gets up as well.
We went and had a yummy fry up breakfast and after the usual egg induced flatulence had exhausted itself we went shopping for stinkbombs.
We also poured half a gallon of washing up liquid in a large fountain down near the seafront. It's quite amusing seeing big clumps of bubbles blowing through the air and sticking to the sides of buses.
Yup. It was a good day and tonight my missus is miles away at her mums.
Cider.... slurp slurp
-
Hiya Ross,
Didn't go shopping to Morrisons today then ? :D
Cant believe they have not swarmed into the South East yet.
Sarah
-
Hi Sarah
I'm not sure but I've saw people coming out of Asda's with bags that had Morrison's written on them. ???
I don't 'do' supermarkets unless I'm battered into going. In fact I hate the places. In fact I don't really do any shopping at all other than for things I want.
And tonights weather.......
Cheers
-
Looks like rain then :'(
Rain in Norfaolk, rain in Brighton, rain in Bristol, rain in chepstow............
Blinking rain everywhere - never mind the beds warn and dry !!!!!!!
Sarah
-
Oddly enough - at the moment I can see the stars.
It's windy though and is averaging 36 mph and gusting to 55 mph.
It saves sweeping up all the rubbish in the front garden.
And .... I've a whole night on my own. F-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c.
Cheers
-
Not alone Ross - big Mothers watching you remember ;D ;D ;D

Ross, if you 'orrible lot actually did some work, you might be able to afford some proper plonk; like a nice bottle of red; rather than cider. Are you getting in training for that park bench you'll be occupying in a year or so? ;)
-
Chatauneuf du Pap?
-
Chatauneuf du Pap?
What-ever. I'm no alcohol snob, it's only that 'White Lightning' gives me heart-burn. What's that stuff that Jocks go mad about; famous from Rab C Nesbit?
I did a skiing course with the Jock-Guards a few years back and what a bunch of drinkers they were; extreme.
One young lad, on our last night drank a bottle of aftershave because he'd ran out of money. JOOP it was. He said it was okay as he didn't buy it himself. It was a present from a girlfriend.
You do know Ross is a Porridge Wog don't you?
How's the heart-burn, Ross?
(You know I'm only serious... ;))
-
Saki? Sarky?
-
Ross, if you 'orrible lot actually did some work, you might be able to afford some proper plonk; like a nice bottle of red; rather than cider. Are you getting in training for that park bench you'll be occupying in a year or so? ;)
Proper plonk? And get into all that 'it's got a crunchy little palet' and 'a nice nutty reasonance on the gum' type stuff?
Actually, one sometimes does partake of the red wine but generally one prefers to be British and not like some horrible little Frenchman.
Seriously though, wine gives me viscious headaches the morning after and anyway, the cider I drink is organic and locally brewed with Sussex apples and does not contain antifreeze.
I like to help my local economy... ;D
The French don't like it to be known that their vines came from America anyway.
-
Ross, if you 'orrible lot actually did some work......
Oh here we go. ::)
You're worse than Ian. You're workaholics. :D
That's not such a good sort of "holic"
Doesn't look like many around here worked much today. ;)
-
Doesn't look like many around here worked much today. ;)
Roger,
You didn't have another day off did you? Are you a ruddy TA window cleaner or something?
It was a bit windy I admit, and rained a bit late in the afternoon; but apart from introducing some customers to Ian_Giles (which is another story); I've had a corking day.
-
Here Here
-
It was a bit windy I admit
and rained a bit late in the afternoon
Down here it was a bit windy too. And it rained a little bit.
I knew it was a bit windy this morning when I noticed someones rose bush going past my bedroom window and getting tangled up in the phone wires.
Anyway, it's Friday and Friday is p.o.e.t.s. day.
Pi*s Off Early Tomorrows Saturday ;D
-
Exactly Ross!
I haven't worked much past 12 on a friday for at least a year.
It's never been that bad that I've had to.
P.o.e.t.s day. :D

P.o.e.t.s day. :D
Roger,
I've always been a workaholic mate. If I finished at midday on a Friday I wouldn't know what to do with myself.
Wor Lass would know though. 'Take me to the shops', she'd be demanding, so I find it easier to work till four or five then go collecting without going home.
I've also been working Saturdays from around 10 am till 2 or 3 pm just to get me out of similar assignments.
Wor Lass always does her 'long run' (around 17 miles on a Sunday); so no shopping then too! ;D
-
Hi Roger
I haven't worked much past 12 on a friday for at least a year.
It's never been that bad that I've had to.
How lucky are you?
Today we didn't work but all 3 of us were out all day from about 10 onwards for exactly the same reasons Tosh said - the dreaded shopping and household chores.
If I came back home at 12 and my other half got to know that that was going to happen every week, I'd come home to a list of things to get done.
Cheers
-
Actually the Americans reintroduced the vines to France, but the Americans caused the disease in the first place, that killed all the French vines. but the reintroduction was on good rootstocks.
Not sure about all this plummy plummy rubbish, but you can't beat a good Merlot, usually aussie, or NZ, or SA, or sometimes even American. The rest is old aocks. That's what gives you the headache, that and too much! Drink the good stuff no headache.
But I don't drink.
Bit windy on here tonight :o
Pj
-
But I don't drink.
Pj
Is that because you turn into a nutter if you do?
-

No thats because he is a nutter

Not at all, I find everyone else does if I do! ;)

You sound pleased!! tut tut tut Whos gonna make the cuppa & bring it into you?
Doesn't look like many around here worked much today. ;)
I worked! granted, a tad late but I got there! Been shopping tonight for my DSL Wireless Router & card. So will be mobile around my house with my laptop one day soon.
Anyway, how has all your days been. I see some of you went eating fry-ups & putting bubbles in things for a laugh but how are the rest of you?
-
I've been drinking all day

It's White Lightning- stop showing off!
Regards
Tosh.
PS. I do hope you all realise I'll be locking and deleting these threads, including my own rubbish in the morning, hopefully before Mike Boxall gets a look at them!
-
Has he gone yet? ;D
-
Locking and deleting the chat thread????
Ross, my Mrs can't expect to go shopping on friday afternoons as I supply all the money around here. ;)
Besides, she knows I'll be playing golf if I can. Didn't bother today mind!
Went out and bought a flash scanner for the PC. :D
-
Locking and deleting the chat thread????
Sorry, Roger, I confused this thread with the 'What happened to the guys who can't hack it thread'.
I've had a few glasses of 'red'.
Time for my bath!
-
If my missus says we are going shopping then WE ARE GOING SHOPPING and she always spends a fortune. All I do is push the trolley and anything I put in it gets taken back out because 'that's not healthy food'. What's wrong with Cocoa Pops?
I'm a victim in this household. I get bullied. I suffer and work so so so hard.
As for locking and deleting the whole thread? Do I detect a bit of fear should teacher see it? ;D
As for White Lightening - even the dossers down here don't drink that. I had a can once years ago and I threw up.
Can't beat a real drink. Not that red stuff. One sip and it's gone. Tonight it's Rottens White Cider - made not with rotten apples but with young apples grown around Rottingdean. Seriously. Yummie .. slurp slurp.
-
Everything stops when Tosh's wor lass says time for bath!

Hi Dave
Just chill and give up the worry.
Years on you will look back and most of the problems that are a problem now will mean little and probably would have never happened anyway.
I worked for the volunter services overseas and since then, hardly anything that happens to me now is worth anything more than a bit of concern and that is, I think, when were all safe and sound, the best way to live.
Can't be fun though.
Moving house... oh what fun...
Cheers

Can Tosh or Ian answer a question for me about the forum?
I was looking at a topic yesterday which started with just a? Nothing else and it was rather silly and I expected it to be locked pretty quickly but now I can’t even find it.
Are topics sometimes completely deleted or has the name been changed?
Or is it my dodgy eyesight
Thanks Kev
-
Our local ASDA store are doing a special on fun eggs for halloween. No joking I'm bloody serious. Half the world starving, and these pratts are encourging kids to buy eggs to throw at people and their houses.
The person who thought this one up should spend a day scraping eggs off windows. I'm fuming. DAI

sarah, I don't need them, far too busy. I would like to see the person responsible put in stocks, and pelted with the stuff that lazy dog owners leave behind. DAI

I don't know the one you're talking about, so Ian_Giles must've given it the 'delete' treatment.

I've been soaked and dried out at least three times today.
I smell like gone-off peanuts; it could be my feet - first thing, they wore wet boots from yesturdays rain. Wor Lass says I smell worse than the dog, even though I bathe each evening and wear clean - pressed - clothes each day.
And the dog only gets a bath once a fornight! Unless he rolls in poo; then it's right away.
So does anyone else have an odour problem?
