Title: Cleaning fluid
Post by: Madrat on July 18, 2011, 04:09:08 pm
Hi,

Can someone please help me, I have a Bissal deep clean machine, but the cost of the bissal fluid is going through the roof, can you suggest an alternative that would work with this machine.

Thanks

if you use washing powder make sure that it is automatic washing powder as it does not foam up so much...  8)

As you are in Leicestershire, why not pop along to the NCCA and have a chat there, you will find a wealth of information...

I would try 1001 in it ,

You're having a laugh aren't you.
Liquid Vanish is far better for this type of machine 8)

Put some paraffin in it, followed by a lit match.  Should solve the problem nicely :)

If you're a pro carpet cleaner, do something else.  If you're a domestic user of this machine, get your yellow pages out and look for a pro cleaner who can clean your carpets properly :)  It will save you a lot of hassle and probably make your carpets last 2 or 3 times longer.

If you're south east Leics (LE16 postcode) I can come show you a real man's carpet cleaning machine ;)

Thanks but I'm quite happy with the bissell only the price of the fluid is the problem.  Noe of my carpets are sticky because I rinse them well after.  If I called in a pro every time the cat was sick or the the dog or my self walked in mud, or for that matter one of the chicken got in and left a little parcel I would be bankrupt in no time.

Hmm perhaps I should find a friendly cleaning forum that realises that some people are not in the cleaning business but just want a bit of advice.

Someone tell me this is a wind up.
I've just used one of these machine, NO I mean I have JUST used one, as we are dog sitting for a friend and they have one of these things so thought I'd try out the hand tool for suction levels. Jeez I'd be better off using a straw than using one of these.

If Vanish is the number 1 stain remover can someone tell me why they don't do a number 2 stain remover?  ;D

Nice piece of kit by the way.

They're winding you up MADRAT. They think they are clever. Everybody knows that you've got the wrong machine. You need this one, and Vanish carpet cleaner in it.

Hold on Madrat, I just saw the most amazing advert on TV which will surely revolutionise the way carpets are cleaned.
A filthy very light beige carpet was brought back to " as new " condition by spreading some sawdust like material..brushing it in and after having a coffee and chat vacuuming up the soil which the " sawdust " had magically transformed...and it only costs pennies to clean a room.
Absolutely amazing !
