Title: so who are the national companies?

OCS are another, but hundreds claim to provide natonal coverage. I guess if the contract is big enough, companies will travel an awful long way to get the work. Not sure how many of these 'national' companies are just that and do not need to use sub-contractors to provide the service, I know OCS claim not to use them but not sure if that is the case, pretty sure Initial sub some work out, though their window cleaners travel miles and miles for piddly little jobs, no idea on Mitie though

i always see alot of wc in the town with vans from miles n miles away doing tiny little shop fronts

Nationwide window cleaning (NWC) are i think the largest with over 100 operatives I was the northern manager and i had over 50 operatives to manage.

They were based in Wetherby and had some of the largest contracts.

Interserve are another but no-where near as big as NWC
