go as high as you can with good thickness wire
your pump uses somewhere around 7a full speed i think i read.

i just used crimp spade terminals, and then ring terminals to quick release battery clamps.

if you use crimps get a proper ratchet crimper.

What thickness?

And is maplins a good place to order?

Its all working now, but i m not to keen on the wiring quality so would like to re do it all abit more permanent and leave some spare gear in van

Whered you get all your crimp stuff from?

maplin is ok a bit pricey. the varistream wiring is 18awg, i think the stuff to my battery is 14awg i had already.
terminale came from maplin and they sell the ratchet crimper (i aquired mine)

I think I used 15 amp cable to do mine Sean.
Make sure you use an inline fuse.
