Many of our clients use a long holdall - similar to the type used to carry fishing poles. Have a look on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Maver-Platinum-Full-System-Holdall-N415-/290556374047?pt=UK_SportingGoods_FishingAcces_RL&hash=item43a6826c1f (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Maver-Platinum-Full-System-Holdall-N415-/290556374047?pt=UK_SportingGoods_FishingAcces_RL&hash=item43a6826c1f)

Most of the larger ones will easily hold 6-8 tube sections.

An old windsurfing sail bag would be ideal.
