Magpie, if your prepared to que and you like sea food, if all you want is a good fish and chips, Trenchers opp the main car park well worth a visit. To be fair I have not visited the Hart, but Magpie has been voted best sea food rest on numerous occasions.

Everyone raves on about the Magpie, but I don't rate it,it's fine if you want to feel like part of a production line,as they
want to re use your table,a relaxed meal is not on the cards.
Quality of the food is good, and you get heaps of it,but I would rather not feel rushed.

Wish I could remember some of the places the x's dad took us up north.
Chapters in Stokesley used to be good, been to the Tontine a couple of times, that is well worth a visit...http://www.theclevelandtontine.co.uk/about_us.php

Hope to be up in whitby in September.
The Hart at Sandsend is the best place for miles for a good pint, glass of wine and 2 large steaks and trimmings for £25.
Can,t wait

Clinton,
Was that you in Rivington Top Barn on Sunday 10th July. I thought I recognised you sat with a group of Bikers.
I wasn't sure, being semi conscious after walking through the night from Hebden Bridge on a 50 mile walk that finished there.
I was sat almost opposite across the thoroughfare tucking in to a Beef casserole.
Dave.

Yeah,
I used to go down to Stockport many years ago to Nu-Life, until the Preston Franchise started up and went there after that. I also went to a guy based in Hayfield that was an agent/franchisee of Ashcombe distributors, but he went bankrupt and help to finish off Ashcombe in the process.
