Title: Work boots?

Ive had a pair of waterproof Regatta walking boots for the past 4 months, but theyve had it already

Soles letting in water / wet really stinging from getting so wet

Can anybody suggest some decent waterproof boots that'll last a bit longer please

By the way, £50 down the tubes on these naff boot, so a bit miffed and looking for some help

i have nearly had them all - most are rubbish and dont last long!!

aldi have got some work shoes in at the mo. about £14. i got a pair 12 months ago and work trad in all weathers, they're not waterproof but dry quick and hardly worn on the soles-going for another pair next time i'm in there.  ;D can't go wrong at that price ;D

have these now about a year and still about 3 to 6 months life left although I wear them all the time.

For longevity go for a Vibram winkler sole unit, hard to get but generally most Vibram soles last pretty well.  The Scarpa's are the mutts nuts for comfort though.

Dewalt Goretex for me,.. the only boots I've ever had that live up to the "waterproof" claim in the real world. Feet still get damp after a day of pressure washing though,.. but that much I'll forgive.

Nathanael - both the boots I've mentioned never let in one drop of water, at the end of the day like everything else, they are more expensive for a reason.

have to agree with alan here scarpa are an excellent boot, many moons ago I had scarpa attack boots with gaiters and they were brilliant

bergaus goretex for me.my feet never get wet.bone dry all day everyday.i never skimp on jackets and boots.if your working in all weathers all year round you need some good gear.

mine were on special offer.£90 i think i payed for them last september.looks like theyve got at least a year left in them! ;) ;D ;D

i wear them every day through all the seasons.

Berghaus boots are the muts nuts had mine for 3 winters now and they will last another 2 if not more they have a vibram sole and they dont look worn at all , i only  wear them in the bad weather

The best boots that I have bought are Muckboots...fantastic boots for winter..

Have had the gamut of military, hiking gortex boots and Muckboots put them all to shame.

Any of the Black Rock boots sold by Toolstation are very good and hard wearing. Warm and comfortable too. I think they are excellent value, start from £15. I have had my present pair for a year now and nowhere near ready for replacement. I wear mine every day, summer and winter and now use them for dog walking as well so they get a lot of wear.

I'll second that, very good boots but mine are quite heavy, steel toe cap in them.

Thanks all-went the berghaus route. Serious soles on them, cost 99 quid but hopefully worth it

Best pair I've had so far is Dr Martens, lasted the winter and it's the only pair I've ever had which have managed that

all i ever wear for work,get 6 monthe then the soles are knackered 

best ive had so far are ex-army gortex boots from my local surplus store - cost about £25

berghaus goretex or bashers goretex set you back about £110 will last to seasons easy you need to be spending about £300 on gear ie jackets pants and boots also a good bob hat its worth spending that little bit more if you but cheap its crap and all starts leaking in a week or so.

Gore-tex boots from Clarks, Just got some £44.99 in the sale.

For waterproof anything gore-tex
