Title: Steempro tank leak at drain valve
Post by: Graeme@Access on July 09, 2011, 10:21:54 am
Hi,

Was wondering if any of you could help me out a bit as i have a steempro with a leak. Its leaking from the body to drain valve seal and is progressively getting worse.

Any ideas how to fix this?

I thought i could maybe take the drain valve off the body completely then reaseat it or clean/dry it and seal it with some kind of resin?

Thoughts very much appreciated

Hi,

Thanks for the replies. I will order a new one and fit it when i have a couple of days down time. In the meantime i cleaned and dried the cracked portion and peeled away the resin between the tank and foam valve gasket. Used a 2 part acrylic glue and heat set it for a temp fix.

Maybe it will hold but time will tell.
