Title: public liability insurance scam

Just thought I would say insurance companies are rouges, company im with quoted me £81, cheap I know, another company contacted me and said we can do it for £78, went back to my origional company and lied saying they can do it for £58, lady said we can see what we can do call me back 2 mins later and said we can do it for £55, why didn't they just start with that.

In what way is that a "scam"?  Pretty standard competition, I'd have thought.

Why would they want to do that?  If they do that, they leave money on the table that they could have from people who will accept the first quote they are given.

Do you ever ask for a higher price than you would actually accept when you're selling something (e.g. a car)?  If not, you're unique.

yea i agree, Allied insurance it was incase anyone wanted to know
