stop moaning and get on with it :) rains the best for time
for wfp it gives you able assistance and generally proves
to the customer you can clean in nearly any conditions.
i love being out in the rain, worse that can happen is you get
wet ;D
-
i love these posts because you always get the guys that do windows in the rain shouting stop moaning and get on with it thats all good and well providing your custys dont mind you doing them in the rain most down here being cornwall are retired and always in and are old school and no matter how many times you explane that you can do them in the rain and how you offer a satisfaction garentee they just dont like it and wont have it i personally couldnt care less about getting wet as i save gutter jobs etc for wet days but windows cant get away with it sorry :(
-
i agree, drizzle maybe, anything wetter and it's a no.
Can't understand how you can work in heavy rain ???
I dodge in and out of showers, you can spend hundreds on gortex rain suit, but i couldn't see myself wearing it.
I don't like losing income; but thats just the way it is in this job; if it was that good everyone would be doing it :D
4 day working week, which can include saturday if needed (not sunday)

you are giving out a negative attitude in the above post,i couldbe wrong
but it gives me the impression that you dont really believe in cleaning in
the rain.
if you dont sell the service correctly in a positive manner and totally
believe in what you are saying then you will get nowhere with your
custies.rain snow etc i get out in all of it and im sure its my positivity
that convinces my custies thats its okay.
dont get me wrong i get the odd misery who says no but dont let it
drag you back, incidentally 80% of my customers are retired.
it probably helps me mentally that i absolutely love being out
when the weathers doing its worst and i really struggle during
warm periods :)

I've got man flu! Bring on the rain! ;D

forcast said rain all day, they lied worked to 10 then dodged the showers got 75% done
that p*ssed me off, forcast heavy rain all day, it started for half hour this morning and didnt fancy going out as it looked like rain was set in,but ended up going at 11am was ok till 3.30 in the end,i dont no why i bother check the weather
-
forecast was good for here so went out to the round dodged a couple showers got a comment of well that was a waist of time wasnt it explaned if it drys funny call me i will re do ( no call yet) then in it came heavy rain and aint stopped since weather forecasting must be the only job you can get wrong every day and not get the sack
-
honestly jackal and anyone else out there its all about your attitude!!ive been working in all weathers for 18 years and i know of guys 30 years + in the business who work in most bad weather.ok if its really bad then no but most of the time its showers so its doable.
just think of the money you guys have lost over the years!!are you earning well and have a good standard of living then?i have and ive had the week off!! ;D ;D ;D
most customers are fine with it but the ones that arent just miss out until next time.your still earning a big chunk of your daily earnings.
i find with wfp i stay out even longer than when i was on the ladders!its so much easier!!
do not take any notice of the weathermen.they are so often wrong.just get out there whatever its doing when you leave your house.start early as well(830-9am).
ill be bang at it monday again ready for another months onslaught!i am going collecting tonight as im owed a fair whack from last week then chill until monday.
best wishes to you all

So are we saying that it's fine to work in heavy showers with a wfp? Will it not make the windows spot? Please explain. P.s I'm new to the forum. Hi!

No it shouldn't make the windows spot; maybe; but you could just blame the rain if it did.
On my house, my front and back windows would come up perfect if they were cleaned in the rain. But my side kitchen windows would be a mess, because I've two large cherry trees that overhang them; and when it rains, the rain washes dirt from the trees onto the windows.
There's no hard 'n' fast rules.
If it's windy, there's a good chance it's going to make a mess.
Welcome to the forum, Luke. Oh and we've an off topic area that needs a bit of new blood; we're getting bored with fighting each other over there; so would like some new posters on that side.
