twin di therory............can someone remind me how this works please

Your old resin pre-filters a vessel with new resin in. You keep this cycle going then instead of throwing a vessel full of resin away that's reading 002/003 etc. My tap tds is around 70/80 ppm, the older resin never rises this far before the newer resin needs changing anyway, so I get the maximum efficiency from it. ;)

so the resin bottle i have which is kicking out 3ppm will go in line before my new bottle with new resin , is that correct.
thanks

Yes mate, it will pre-filter the new resin, so the new resin is being fed 3ppm instead of what it would be without it. ;)
When the new resin eventually starts to rise in tds do the same again- change the oldest resin for fresh stuff & use the other to pre-filter it. Keeps going like this. ;)

not a therory, just simple fact!
one vessel starting to kick out water of say 10+tds - norm you would just change the resin.
but with two vessels
you then plug the second one in with fresh resin.
so that fresh resin is cleaning the first vessels water from 10+ tds down to 000tds.
and as that fresh resin is only cleaning from around 10 tds it will last longer.
then
when the first vessel starts kicking out say 80 tds + then you chuck that resin.
so then the second bottle becomes the first and the orginal first bottle has fresh resin in it and becomes the second vessel .

Its good to say that before you make the old resin bottle the prefilter bottle its a good idea to roll it around or shake it up a bit.

i know thats supposed to open new channels in the resin but im doing something wrong regards that one - either stays the same or make it worse

give it a few minutes to settle
