Your interpretations please.
Quote taken from a marketing call received today ???
-
Sounds like a yank sales pitch ;D
-
My interpretation is that he/she watches too much "Apprentice", what a cringe-worthy sales pitch!!!!
It's worse than "We give 110%", "I'm at the top of my game" and "You have to speculate to accumulate"... Utter drivel.... ;D

I'm going to give my age away here I can see it.
When I was in the army all our kit had to be folded into squares and the term squared away was often used when completing a job.
Maybe this is an update on an old saying.
-
Cheers Dave
I've often wondered where that saying came from.
You learn something new every day. :)
-
I would have felt inclined to reply "You squared your circle? Sounds painful fella! ;D
-
What else did they say (or what were they trying to say)?
Why did they not say something like "every carpet cleaner we have worked with has increased their turnover by 15%"? That would ahve been worth listening to
-
Sounds to me like something you'd say when you dropped a b*llock, ie:
"I've only gone and squared the bloody circle again!"
-
i think they are saying they have reinvented the wheel in terms of marketting.
-
;D

Instead of doing what has worked for the last hundred years. :)

to be honest, I really wasn't taking in much else that was said as I was laughing so much ;D ;D ;D
It was about one of those answering services "whilst you are out working we can take your calls"
I just politely said no thanks and put the phone down and have laughed every time I think of it ;D

Actually Helen,
I've just thought of another answer.... If they say they have squared the circle, ask them "Why?" ;D

there's nothing wrong with circles..... these marketing companies have to go messing with everything!! ;D ;D ;D
Agree with col, it sounds like an apprentice board room saying lol
-
squaring the circle, 'attempting the impossible', google is a wonderful thing,
-
Well I'm going to try and square the circle in record times tomorrow, or will it all go oval ;D
-
Thirty years of cleaning and I have gone full circle.
I started at the bottom and here I am still there. I have to hand it to myself when I balls up I do it big time. ;)

Say
'Great so is that r2x pi' (area of a circle in sq cm or m)
-
Hi Martin
Surely if you square the circle its r to the power 4 x pie squared.
Cheers

stop!!!!!!!! pleeeeeeeease ;D

Only if you have enough area to fill the square formed by drawing four perpendicular lines at 90 degrees to each other at the extremity of the circle. If on the other hand you want a square of the same area of the original circle each side would be of length:
r/ (square root of 2)
