I need a new pump for an Ionics system, ideally with same mountings as ionics but at a cheaper price.
Any help appreciated.
-
have you got a pic of the mounting? i got a pump from vyair, very good pump and cheap too, it has the same mountings as a shurflo pump.
-
Not got a photo but its four bolt holes, 81mm between centres width wise and 57mm between centres height wise.
The last one I bought from Ionics cost me £180 :'(
-
I just measure the holes on mine as best i could and they are pretty much the same as yours
This it the pump i bought and it been great (http://www.vyair.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=105)

and Ian, if you have an amp meter, I would be very interested to find out what amps that pump is actually drawing, because it's got to be more than the 3 they advertise.

Spruce,
I have an amp meter, I'll stick it on it when I get it fitted and let you know.

Thanks Ian,
If that pump does draw 3 amps as they advertise but won't confirm, then its a good buy as it will reduce the amount of battery power used over a day.
The Shurflos draw about 6 amps so that would equate to 2 Vyair's for the 1 Shurflo.

Ian, i bought the RO shut off kit you mentioned a while back , it shuts the water off ok but doesnt turn it back on ..any ideas?
-
Lee,
What controller do you use with the Vyair pump?
-
Richard, I use a 3 button digital one, it's the Crowe elect one that most places sell.
