I think I may have a suede leather suite to clean tomorrow . Never cleaned suede leather before ,the custie was a bit vague as to what it was wasn't sure that the way she described it sounded like faux sued , if it is suede leather should I leave well alone ?
Thanks Dave

Could be Nubuck but more likely to be faux suede.
If it was real suede then I would leave well alone if you have no experience of them.

Hi dave
A rel suede will be an expensive suite , probably 5k and you will ruin it if you hwe it.
Faux suede is much more common and cheaper and can be wet cleaned.
Cheers

Thanks for the replies lads, but this is I believe suede leather . Never seen it let alone clean it . I've cleaned suede and leather and even faux suede, but this a combination of both .

If your really unsure and want to stay in the safe zone, simply mist with m/s plenty of towelling and the dirt should lift of with out a problem.
the results should be satisfactory and non harm will be done, infact always a good idea to show all the dirt your removing on the towells to custy , they will be impressed hopefully :)

Un zip one of the cushions and look at the backing, if its suede the backing will be leather.
If its fabric or like a white thin sillicon material its faux, i have never come across a real one in 17 years, cleaned loads of faux, in fact cleaned one today.
Nemesis and towel, extract and towel again to reset the nap.
Avoid solvents, including Fabric restorer and keep the temp down to avoid damage.
