Post by: neil s on July 04, 2011, 07:31:25 pm
Well there I am cleaning upstairs windows wfp . Brings pole down and notice I'm stood in what appears to be wet paint. Seems green paint on decking has been dissolved by water. Anyone had similar ?  Customer ok about it but can't find any reason for it

decking boards are pressure treated , when a new decking paint is applied it takes much longer for the timber to absorb this .
if the decking was only done recently any splash back will cause a hole mark on newly applied decking paint .

serves them right for painting it. why would anyone want to put down a nice timber deck and then paint it GREEN!  ::)

Tell them not to be so cheap next time, and use a proper oil.
