i know you all look forward to my questions, so heres another one for ya'll...  8)

How on earth are you ment to tighten the r.o membrane housing on one of these systems? ive got the 600 GPDRO System...

http://www.cleaningspot.co.uk/acatalog/200_GPD_RO_Systems_and_spare_parts.html

ive got a plastic wrench/spanner thing that came with it and ive tightened it to the best of my ability but there it still i tiny drip comeing from the r.o membrain housing!

unless i put the whole thing in my vice? and use some leverage on it? (which i fear may brake it)

take it apart again and make sure the filter is sitting right, then just tighten with the spanner.
or if it looks flush you could probably ptfe it.

Yeh, some PTFE tape should do the trick.  Just wrap several turns of it around the threads and tighten; it creates a watertight seal and it's cheap and simple to use.
