Yes, mate definitely.  For the small cost involved, it's great; even if it only averages out about one-job-per-month.

Talking of websites. I was at one of my customers yesterday, a married woman with husband and kids, and she was browsing through a dating website. I could see clearly through the window.

Don't know whats going on there

Yes, without a doubt!

Quite a few people after picking up a flyer, have looked at my website, before phoning or emailing me.

Also there are loads of free online business directories to post your website on.

Plus the paypal / nochex facility

I have been window cleaning a long time, and could not see the benefit of a website. As we have a well established round. But Stex came to the site offering to build website's so for very little out lay I had one done.

We now rank on page one in Monmouth, Hereford, Ross-on-Wye, Chepstow, and page 2 in Newport. The site has been up about 3 months. And brings in a constant stream of work, and one day last week 5 jobs in one day.

I have been tracking the weekly amount the website has generated and so far it has increased out work by £144 a week.

So I should have done it years ago.

Yes, definitely.  Ours has brought in many, many customers.

Then again, it was designed by the current Mrs Perfect, so the cost was paid in kind., which makes the return look even better.

A nice simple, clear one should be pretty cheap and will bring in work.  You'll also find that if you leaflet, people will have a quick check out before they call.

DEFINATELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even if it's just so you have a "pay online" option; it saves a lot of time collecting and it's nice to sit at your computer and transfer lots of money in to your bank account ;D

Yep, website is somewhere people can have a look at you and what you do.

I've got before and after pics on there that people love to see when they want connys or fascias cleaning.

Make your contact details avalible on EVERY page and maybe a contact form (that's what I have).

Stick a picture of yourself on there, so people know who you are. This goes down well I have found.

I've picked up a fair bit of work this year , nearly £7k and I'd say at least 50% has come through my site.

i did my own temporary website and had a few jobs off it i used http://www.webpage-maker.com/ (http://www.webpage-maker.com/) to publish it to the web and inkscape to design the content on it.
