Title: Lead strip coming off when using WFP

Hi Everyone

I have noticed over the past 6 months that on a few houses the lead strip can start to come away from its glued surface. I have noticed that on most of the windows they are pretty old and most of the time south facing so get loads of sun, that probably weakens the glue.

My problem is this. I can see my self having to glue the lead strip back on in time as it gradually gets weaker.

Has anyone else come across this and if so any advice on how to fix it (ie where to get the glue/lead strip).

It is also bloody annoying.

If u doing it by scrim it would come off a lot quicker! It's not wfp just that u may b going in wrong direction on some that are lose but I find I've  not disturb most now by wfp as did previous  >:(

We had a couple over the years. Got the ladder out and glued them back with Araldite. The best brush for cleaning lead is still the Vikan because the bristles are soft and flocked and the brush just glides over them.
