I will have to go up to the paul moss day to see if i can learn that. It will save a 4 day course and costs as well.

Started the job in the customers house at 9.30am and was finished at 1.30. I applied the first coat of degreaser to show him what to do then left the can with him.

I find that customers are willing to do this when you show them how easy it is and tell them that it will keep the cost down, that way it is ready for you when you arrive on the day to carry out the work.

That's a top job, Mike Halliday and myself did a colour restoration on an aniline at LTT years ago and it really is a fulfilling job but the one we did didn't have the grease mark.

Nicely done Bob.  Good idea to leave degreaser with customer, in an aerosol it is so much easier for them to apply than in a paste form.  Aniline restoration is so much easier than pigment restoration, much more satisfying and more lucrative.

I charged £440 for the 2 x 2 seaters which included the cost of the degreaser and dye, which I still have some of the dye left over.

Aniline restoration is so much easier than pigment restoration, much more satisfying and more lucrative.

And tests your heart rate when you do your first anline.
Reminds me of my first one, heart rate going through the roof knowing there was no 'going back' from the moment you apply that first dab of dye.
