hi chaps,
wandered if any one can help, i cleaned an imprinted concrete drive today that had'ent been done for a long time, i am re-sealing it tomorrow but first i need to make a few minor repairs, there are several large chips on the drive to big to cover with just sealant, i know smart seal do a repair kit for the job but i dont fancy paying what they charge, would a small bag of ready mixed concrete from my local d-i-y fill in the cracks?

you need a bag of colour hardener, the same colour as the drive, mix it with some sealer and trowl it in to your cracks, try not to get too much on the surface of the drive, any left overs just wipe it up with xylene.. then seal over... like new again!
or you could mix some ready mix cement with some sealer colou tint... either way it is still going to cost around £15 all together, which ever method you choose don't mix with water!!! use sealer as your liquid other wise you won't be able to seal over it until thewater has died (few days)
the crack repair compound from smart seal is basically colour hardener

i am adding colour tint to the sealer so i will go with the ready mix cement method sounds the easiest,
cheers for that ;)mate.

put some in with your cement if you don't want the cracks to stand out, make sure you mix the cement with sealer and not water, cheers.
