do a very busy city centre pub.
just had re fit and the very large gents n ladies have a very rough light colourd cream type floor.
gets dirty v v quick!
one of the probs is: the pub has a full time reg cleaner - who is rubbish - and thats being kind!
they get us in once a week to clean the place up and do the bits that the reg guy cant/doesnt do.
i know they should get rid but they wont, even tho they know he is rubbish.
he never hoovers the floor and think he doesnt even mop it!!!
so when we turn up for a once a week clean (6 hours) the altro flooring is a right mess!!!
at the mo we are just soaking it we a degreaser type chem, deck scrub and then mop it up.
but
im wondering: i have a floor polisher 'buffer' in the lock up - would it work on this rough floor? i doubt it but thought id ask.
if it did - could i get the right pads for it - then wet vac it up?
cheers

Mate there is atleast 3 posts recently about this. Do a quick search, I believe they used ultrapac and a blue brush on the bottom of a machine..

Pads are useless for Altro Flooring! You need a slow speed rotary fitted with a soft to medium brush and a decent wet vac. Apply Aqua Mix Heavy Duty Tile & Grout Cleaner let it dwell then scrub it in and vac it up.

Like Kev says a medium brush works well.
I have also found that softer red pads or these from Altro work really well.

I would imagine the Altro pads are quite expensive. I have only ever used them when they have supplied them to me.
I was a bit sceptical when I first saw them but was amazed at how well they work.

They have a foam centre very short pile but are rubber coated.
Almost like these magic eraser sponges.
